About WeekOne
We’re building the operating system for small businesses in the UK.
Most business software is built for enterprise companies and then sold to smaller ones at a discount. We think that’s the wrong approach. WeekOne was built from scratch for the people who run small businesses every day.
Our story
The problem has always been the price tag.
£5,000
a quarter — the average cost one founder watched a competitor pay for their CRM alone
Our founder spent years working closely with small and medium-sized businesses across the UK. What kept coming up wasn’t a lack of ambition or talent — it was the software bills. CRM systems. ERP platforms. Invoicing tools. Project management. Each one sold with enterprise-grade pricing and a six-month onboarding contract to match.
One conversation stuck. A 12-person consultancy was paying north of £5,000 a quarter — just for their CRM. They had three other subscriptions on top of that. At nearly £25,000 a year, they were spending more on software than they were paying two members of staff. And none of the tools spoke to each other. Every Friday afternoon was a spreadsheet session just to make sense of the week.
That’s not a niche problem. It’s the standard experience for small businesses in the UK. The enterprise software market was never designed for companies under 50 people — the pricing structures, the contract lengths, the complexity of setup all assume a dedicated IT team and a budget that most small businesses simply don’t have.
WeekOne was the answer. One platform covering CRM, invoicing, projects, and support — built from scratch for businesses that need it to work on day one, not after six months of consultancy. Priced so it never feels like a gamble. We launched the first version in late 2023 and we’re still talking to customers every week. That part won’t change.
What we believe
The values we build by.
Simplicity
Software should reduce complexity, not add to it. Every feature we ship has to earn its place by making the business easier to run. If something is confusing, that's our problem to fix.
Transparency
Honest pricing with no hidden fees. No dark patterns, no manufactured urgency. We tell you what the product does, what it costs, and what it doesn't do.
Made for the UK
Not adapted for the UK — built for it. GBP by default. UK date formats. VAT-aware from the ground up. We're not translating an American product; we're writing software for British businesses.
Built to last
We're not optimising for a quick exit. WeekOne is a tool businesses should be able to rely on for years, so we build slowly and carefully — preferring correctness over speed.
The team
Small team, big ambition.
We’re a small team with strong opinions about what good software looks like. Everyone here has worked in or alongside small businesses.
Rachel Donnelly
Co-founder & CEO
Spent eight years running a small events company before deciding the software problem was the one worth solving.
Tom Aldridge
Co-founder & CTO
Previously engineering lead at a fintech, brought here by the conviction that small businesses deserve the same software quality as enterprises.
Priya Suresh
Head of Product
Has interviewed over 200 small business owners about how they manage their operations — and still finds new things to fix every week.
